Call for Proposals
The Planning Committee for the Teaching Narratives Conference seeks proposals for presentations that feature stories about advancing thoughtful, multimodal methods of teaching and learning. In keeping with the campus mission of providing academic access and excellence to diverse students, the Committee is specifically interested in narratives about teaching that illuminate student learning, engagement, and assessment—in and out of the classroom—in complex, nuanced ways.
Proposals are due by September 14, 2012. The Teaching Narrative Conference is supported by funds from the Provost’s Office, the Teaching and Learning Initiative, and the Office of University Assessment.
In order for the narratives to reach beyond the attendees, as well to ensure that the stories endure and continue to resonate past the conference date, presenters will also be invited to submit their narratives for publication. The collected narratives will be published following the conference.
